Mission Ready does not share personal information, including student, parent, guardian, employee, applicant, donor, or website-visitor information, with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.

We may disclose limited personal information to service providers that help us operate the school and our website, such as website-hosting providers, student-information systems, payment processors, communications platforms, security providers, and analytics providers. These service providers may use personal information only to provide services to Mission Ready and may not use it for their own independent marketing purposes.

Student information and mobile opt-in information will not be sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

SMS & MOBILE MESSAGING

When you provide your telephone number and affirmatively consent to receive text messages, Mission Ready may send recurring informational, transactional, or promotional SMS or MMS messages. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive promotional text messages is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.

Parents and legal guardians may submit requests concerning information collected online from their minor children. Where required by applicable law, eligible individuals may have additional rights concerning their personal information.

Mission Ready may continue sending communications necessary for enrollment, student safety, billing, school operations, or other non-promotional purposes.

Mission Ready is a for-profit private school located in Utah. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information in accordance with applicable Utah law.

Utah Consumer Privacy Act

The Utah Consumer Privacy Act applies only to businesses that meet certain revenue and personal-data-processing thresholds. To the extent the Utah Consumer Privacy Act applies to Mission Ready and to a particular individual or request, an eligible Utah resident may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether Mission Ready processes the resident’s personal data;

  • Access personal data processed by Mission Ready;

  • Request deletion of personal data the resident provided to Mission Ready;

  • Obtain a portable copy of personal data the resident previously provided to Mission Ready; and

  • Opt out of the sale of personal data or the processing of personal data for targeted advertising.

Mission Ready does not sell student, parent, guardian, applicant, employee, or website-visitor personal information.

Mission Ready does not use student personal information for targeted advertising.

When personal data concerns a known child, the child’s parent or legal guardian may submit an applicable privacy request on the child’s behalf.

Voluntary Privacy Requests

Even when the Utah Consumer Privacy Act does not apply, individuals may contact Mission Ready to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information they have submitted through our website, contact forms, email communications, or text-message program.

Data Security & Breach Notification

Mission Ready takes reasonable measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, modification, or disclosure.

When records containing sensitive personal information are no longer reasonably necessary, Mission Ready will take appropriate measures to securely destroy or render the information unreadable, subject to applicable retention requirements.

If Mission Ready experiences a data-security incident involving personal information, we will investigate the incident and provide notifications to affected individuals or governmental authorities when required by applicable law.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Mission Ready’s website is intended for use by parents, legal guardians, caregivers, and other adults seeking information about Mission Ready’s educational programs and services. The website is not intended or designed for use by children under 13, and children under 13 should not submit personal information through the website.

Enrollment inquiries, applications, contact forms, account registrations, and other online submissions concerning a student should be completed by the student’s parent, legal guardian, caregiver, or another authorized adult.

Mission Ready does not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under 13 without the consent of a parent or legal guardian. If we learn that personal information has been submitted directly by a child under 13 without appropriate parental authorization, we will take reasonable steps to review and delete the information, except where retention is required or permitted by law.

SENSITIVE & HEALTH-RELATED INFORMATION, IN COORDINATION WITH NOVA SUPPORTS

Mission Ready may collect, receive, maintain, or have access to sensitive personal information concerning students, parents, guardians, and caregivers. Depending on the services requested or provided, this information may include:

  • Health and medical information;

  • Diagnoses, treatment information, medications, allergies, and health history;

  • Disability, developmental, behavioral, or support-related information;

  • Psychological, clinical, therapy, or evaluation records;

  • Educational records, assessments, accommodations, and service plans;

  • Biometric information, when specifically necessary and authorized;

  • Precise-location information, when specifically necessary for safety, attendance, transportation, or another disclosed purpose;

  • Emergency-contact and safety information;

  • Insurance and billing information;

  • Government identification information; and

  • Other information that may be considered sensitive under applicable law.

How We Use Sensitive Information

Mission Ready uses sensitive information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Evaluate eligibility for admission or services;

  • Understand a student’s educational, developmental, health, behavioral, accessibility, and safety needs;

  • Develop and provide appropriate educational services, accommodations, supports, and safety plans;

  • Coordinate authorized services with parents, legal guardians, caregivers, educators, clinicians, and service providers;

  • Respond to medical, behavioral, or safety emergencies;

  • Process tuition, insurance, billing, or payment information, where applicable;

  • Meet accreditation, licensing, insurance, contractual, and legal requirements; and

  • Operate, secure, and improve Mission Ready’s educational programs and services.

Mission Ready will not use sensitive personal information for targeted advertising, behavioral advertising, or unrelated marketing.

Information Sharing With Nova Supports

Mission Ready and Nova Supports [are affiliated organizations/are separate affiliated legal entities] that may work together to coordinate educational, diagnostic, clinical, therapeutic, administrative, or support services for families.

With the authorization of a parent, legal guardian, or other legally authorized individual—and as otherwise permitted or required by applicable law—Mission Ready and Nova Supports may exchange relevant information when reasonably necessary to:

  • Coordinate services for a student or family;

  • Reduce unnecessary duplication of evaluations or records;

  • Develop educational accommodations, support strategies, or safety plans;

  • Facilitate referrals or requested services;

  • Communicate information relevant to a student’s care, education, accessibility, or safety; or

  • Carry out another purpose explained at the time authorization is requested.

Only information reasonably relevant to the authorized purpose will be exchanged. Access will be limited to personnel who need the information to perform their assigned responsibilities.

Mission Ready’s relationship with Nova Supports does not authorize either organization to use sensitive information for unrelated purposes. Information received from Nova Supports will be subject to Mission Ready’s privacy, security, access-control, and retention practices. Information disclosed by Mission Ready to Nova Supports will be subject to Nova Supports’ applicable privacy practices and legal obligations.

Authorization & Choice

When required, Mission Ready or Nova Supports will obtain written authorization before exchanging sensitive health, clinical, educational, biometric, precise-location, or other protected information.

An authorization may identify:

  • The information that may be exchanged;

  • The organizations or individuals permitted to send and receive it;

  • The purpose of the exchange;

  • The period during which the authorization remains valid; and

  • How the authorization may be revoked.

Declining or revoking an optional authorization will not affect services that do not reasonably require the requested information exchange. Revocation will not affect information already exchanged or actions already taken in reliance on a valid authorization, and certain information may continue to be retained when required by law or reasonably necessary for school operations, safety, billing, recordkeeping, or dispute resolution.

Biometric and Precise-Location Information

Mission Ready will collect or use biometric or precise-location information only when reasonably necessary for a specifically disclosed purpose and with any authorization required by applicable law.

Mission Ready will not sell biometric or precise-location information or use it for advertising. Access will be limited to authorized personnel and service providers with a legitimate operational need. The information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the disclosed purpose or as otherwise required by law.

Other Limited Disclosures

Mission Ready does not sell or rent sensitive personal information.
